The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently released the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP).

YHDP is designed to help communities develop and implement coordinated approaches to reduce and ultimately end youth homelessness. This round of funding will award approximately $60 million for up to 25 communities.

Applications must be submitted by a Continuum of Care (CoC) Collaborative Applicant and developed with a broad array of community partners , including youth action boards, state or local child welfare agencies, youth homelessness housing and service providers, local school districts, workforce development organizations, law enforcement, judges, and corrections.

YHDP relies on leadership from youth, particularly those who have experienced homelessness, and requires communities to establish a youth action board to guide the Coordinated Community Plan and YHDP project design development.

The deadline to apply is June 27.
