HUD Opens Applications for $150M to Expand Affordable Housing in Tribal Communities

Last month, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced $150 million in funding for new affordable housing to benefit low-income families in American Indian and Alaska Native communities.

The Indian Housing Block Grant (IHBG) Competition funding will be prioritized for new housing construction projects, housing rehabilitation projects, acquisition of existing housing units that increase the affordable housing stock, and necessary affordable housing-related infrastructure projects. 

Applications are due no later than March 19, 11:59 ET.
