Webinar: HOME-ARP and Project Homekey Overview

Resources for COVID-19 Homeless System Response

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) held a webinar in July 2021 to review HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) resources for people experiencing or at imminent risk of homelessness available through the American Rescue Plan (ARP).

It was intended for:

  • Continuums of Care (CoCs);
  • HOME Participating Jurisdictions (PJs) and other jurisdictions preparing to administer a HOME-ARP funding allocation;
  • Public Housing Authorities (PHAs);
  • Homeless services providers; and
  • Housing providers.

The guests included:

  • HUD’s Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs (SNAPS);
  • The Office of Affordable Housing Programs; and
  • The state of California.

You will learn:

  • How HOME PJs, CoCs, and other community partners can plan together with an equity focus to develop plans for HOME-ARP;
  • How HOME-ARP can be strategically leveraged with other investments to address critical gaps in a community’s homeless system of services and housing interventions; and
  • About Homekey and one example of a project eligible under HOME-ARP.
