Housing programs for victims of domestic violence are a critical component of a comprehensive homelessness service system.
Projects serving victims and survivors of domestic violence, including transitional housing projects, should have a place in a community’s system, as long as they meet a need in the community, can show positive safety- and housing-related outcomes, and allow for participant choice.
