The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) awarded $418 million last month in grants to more than 260 nonprofit organizations to help low-income veterans and their families access the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program.

Organizations can use the funds to rapidly re-house veterans who experience homelessness and to prevent veterans from becoming homeless. The grants will support SSVF services from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.
