HUD Doubles Funding for the Eviction Protection Grant Program

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently announced an additional $20 million for its Eviction Protection Grant Program, which doubles the amount allocated when it launched in November.

HUD awarded grants to 11 legal service providers in areas with high rates of eviction or prospective evictions, in addition to the 10 nonprofit and government organizations that received them in November. The funding is going to statewide, regional, and local programs.
