The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced an additional $2.4 million in American Rescue Plan (ARP) funding for Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP) agencies.

This is the second round of ARP funding to directly combat the unequal impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on certain populations, including communities of color and low-income communities. The money is awarded under FHIP’s Private Enforcement Initiative (PEI) and can be used to conduct housing education and outreach and to address fair housing inquiries, complaints, and investigations.

Another $3.2 million will be made available to eligible applicants that did not receive funding in the first two rounds.
