2005 National Project Homeless Connect Cities

The mission of the National Day is to bring communities together to create and promote tangible solutions that remedy the homelessness of their neighbors.

Cities Participating in the
2005 National Day

26 cities participated in the inaugural National Project Homeless Connect Day on December 8, 2005.

Most cities created their own version of Project Connect, one-stop service centers that offer a unique opportunity for homeless citizens to access services in a supportive, community setting. Others used the day strategically to further the goals and objectives of their 10-Year Plans to End Chronic Homelessness. Some, for example, made important announcements, reported local progress, or hosted housing and community awareness forums.
