Department of Veterans Affairs Calls for Letters of Intent for Organizations Seeking SSVF Funding in FY 2013

Today the Department of Veterans Affairs posted a notice in the Federal Register calling for letters of intent for FY 2013 funding for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. Organizations are encouraged to submit a non-binding letter of intent to apply for either initial or renewal funding for supportive services grants by 4 pm on September 28, 2012. The FY 2013 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) will be published after the beginning of the fiscal year and will include information about the SSVF program, application procedures, and the amount of funding available. The SSVF Program's purpose is to provide supportive services grants to private nonprofit organizations and consumer cooperatives who will coordinate or provide supportive services to very low-income Veteran families who are residing in permanent housing, are homeless and scheduled to become residents of permanent housing within a specified time period, or after exiting permanent housing, are seeking other housing that is responsive to such very low-income veteran family's needs and preferences.
Letters of Intent are due by 4 pm EDT on September 28, 2012.
