Excess Property for Homeless Veterans Initiative

The Excess Property for Homeless Veterans Initiative is part of the Veterans Benefit Assistance program of the VA, which works to both connect Veterans to benefits while supporting the network of VA homeless assistance providers. This program coordinates with the VA to provide for the distribution of federal excess personal property such as sleeping bags, hats, coats, footwear, and other items to Veterans experiencing homelessness. The majority of this surplus property is distributed at Stand Downs by VA and its community partners serving Veterans experiencing homelessness and their families.
